In 2004 I travelled to Darfur to witness the impact of the Government-sponsored genocide – five years on Sudan is back on the brink, this time in the South of the country. It’s a sad reflection of the intermittent commitment to resolving the situation, and the plethora of vested interests who undermine efforts to do so. Put simply: more can and must be done.
